Eagle Pines On The Bad River
Bad River and Grumpy Squirrels
My spouse and I went out to Eagle Pines to celebrate 14 years of being together. It is the very first time we’ve gone camping just the two of us, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place.
Secluded enough that you feel alone, but close enough to town that you can run in really quick if needed, it offers a lot of security and relaxation.
Beautiful views, access to tons of firewood for really cheap, with plentiful woods to explore. Dean has taken extra special care of his spots, and following his paths to the waterfalls was one of our favorite highlights of the trip. The hikes are only a little physically challenging and help you feel like you’re in an adventure, but nothing too bad.
We saw a lot of animals, birds building nests, a friendly woodpecker, ducks chasing eachother through the river, a very angry squirrel who didn’t enjoy us one bit and made sure to yell at our tent every morning. We were really in nature.
Finally, Dean is a next level host. He kept me updated on weather when I texted him, provided suggestions and tips, and was very prompt at communicating. He seems like a super friendly guy, and is very easy to work with. You can tell maintaining these grounds is his passion, and staying there is so special!
My wife and I hope to return to Eagle Pines soon, and make it to the waterfalls we didn’t get a chance to hike to. What a great trip, one for the record books.

Eagle Pines On The Bad River
Magical River Views
My wife and I spent this weekend at this spot to celebrate the 14th anniversary of when we first got together and this spot was the perfect escape to enjoy each other’s company in the presence of some of the most beautiful views nature has to offer.
Hiking the trails to see the falls was one of the highlights of our weekend.
Dean is an excellent host who provides easy to understand instructions and he offers up all kinds of handy advice for camping out here.
Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone, and would love to camp here again one day.

Bad River Point Hike-In Campsite
The site is secluded and has a lot of amenities to make your trip easier! My 2 year old loved it! I could see our family making another trip back! Plenty to do between hiking, canoeing, and just enjoying the outdoors!

Eagle Pines On The Bad River
Awesome Location and Waterfalls!
This has been the best hipcamp site we've ever been to! Dean is very responsive, friendly, and makes directions easy to follow. Our camper is 23 feet long which fits well backing up into the site. The view is awesome and it is very private and peaceful. We love hearing the sounds of nature here. You have to hike the trails to see the two waterfalls as it is amazing! We took a lot of pictures and videos. The trail is very well marked out so you won't have any issues looking to where you need to go.This is the best hiking experience we've ever had at a hipcamp site. Thank you Dean for sharing this amazing site with us!
