Stayed here in April 2024 It was Awesome! On top of a mountain overlooking Lewisburg. Great views. This was our second time staying at the location. This time we stayed at the site farthest from the road. This location is HIGHLY recommended. It is a short drive to downtown Lewisburg. Glad that I was driving a Class “B”. The host April\Host was very communicative. At the site we had EXCELLENT Verizon reception due to the nearby cell towers. From our site the cell towers are not visible. Their dogs were very friendly but we do not travel with pets.

Great host, great views, great site
So glad we adventured and took our 37ft. travel trailer up that crazy road to get to Caring Acres. It was well worth it, but be prepared! A beautiful site with 360 degree views. Sunset in one direction and overlooking the “city” lights in the other direction. A tree swing, a hammock, a port a John and firewood were all provided. Huge flat field to run and let the kids and dog play. April and Carl are the kindest people. They welcomed us over to their homestead and let the kids feed the calf and jump on the trampoline. The adorable farm dogs followed us back to our site and were so sweet! I could have stayed here much longer if we had room in our tanks! Lewisburg is an adorable town to visit too and New River Gorge National Park is only about 35 mins. We hope to come back to Caring Acres again!

Take a pass on this one
Very deceptive site description. Location is WAY off the beaten path and includes a well rutted stretch of gravel. It's not even in the town they say and the hipcamp link brings you to an assisted living place. They neglected to mention that camps are literally in the shadow of three large radio antennas. The "friendly" dogs did not like my dog. I'd pass this one up next time.

This was an amazing camping experience! The property is unbelievable and extremely comfortable. We caught the most amazing sunrise right from our tent. The hosts are also so kind. We had to borrow some duck tape after our tent pole broke and they were more than accommodating. Daisy and Bentley, their gorgeous dogs, also made our stay when they hung out at our camp spot for the night. I hope to come back soon!

Great communication with April/host. I had an unexpectant unfortunate change of plans. April did not need to be accommodating, but she was and kind. Never stayed but will one day just from the hosts kindness!
