Sleep under the stars while listening to the river run while staying on a working farm! During the summer months watch our vegetables grow and the pickers pick! The winter months you'll enjoy a sea of green as our cover crop takes over the field. You can cool off in the river, or check out the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Dogs on leashes are welcome and owner is responsible for cleaning up after pet. The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is not allowed in the river. Please note, if it’s rainy, the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option. Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had so much room for just the two of us and the water access was great for our dogs to swim. Plus it was so quiet, we’ll probably never go back at state park camping! Site 4 - Shaded Riverside Site

We booked this trip at the last minute, just needing a weekend getaway and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We had spot 4. We did have campers on either side of us, but there were tree buffers between us. We felt like we had privacy. I loved the location! Only about 10 minutes from a great grocery store and also close to local breweries and the Western NC Ag center (where we went to a plant expo). I would definitely camp here again.

Site 5 -Riverside Camping w/Shelter

Me and my friend loved camping here! Beautiful view of the fields and the woods, and located right next to the river! We had a lot of privacy despite being close to other sites. So peaceful and relaxing. A short drive to Asheville too which is a plus!

Site 2 - Swimming Hole

Amazing site! Super clean, spacious and private! Very impressed and can’t wait to book again. The River is absolutely beautiful and makes for such a peaceful feel. Also- the wood stack for the fireplace was so considerate and a nice touch!

Great place to play in the river and get some good rest! Quiet, plenty of stars, and unlimited firewood. Would definitely come back.

Site 1 - Perfect for Groups

The most perfect camping getaway!

We couldn’t ask for a better place to camp. As locals to the area this camping experience was perfect. The dogs and the kids both just ran around and had the best time, whether it was playing in the river or throwing a football in the most perfect landscaped and flat lot. Thanks so much for having us!
