Over 26 acres of open woods for you to choose where and how you would like to set up camp. There is only one reservation allowed at a time, so the entire property is yours to enjoy. There is an open lot of approximately 2 acres at the beginning of the property adjacent to a quiet back road where you can park or set up camp. The back of the property is ideal for complete privacy and peace and quiet. This property connects to over four thousand acres of State Land that can be explored as you please. Fourteen miles of hiking trails offer magnificent views of the mountains and scenic Mountain Lake. The UACNJ Observatory at Jenny Jump is short drive, or a nice hike, from the property where free lectures and observing are open to the public every Saturday evening from April through October. The famous Shades of Death Road and Ghost Lake are also a short drive from the campsite.Over 26 acres of open woods for you to choose where and how you would like to set up camp. Had a great trip! The site is nicely tucked away and very quiet. Plenty of space for my dog to roam and explore. Definitely will be rebooking.

Amazing
First and foremost I want to thank Shawn for allowing me to stay here. This place is AMAZING!! Beautiful scenery very peaceful. I solo camped for 2 nights 3 days wish I could’ve stayed longer but apparently my wife actually likes and misses me lol. I’m booking again for next month and I highly recommend this place to all who seek seclusion and nature. The trail towards the first opening ideal for set up is kind of rough but adventurous. I recommend parking at entrance and having an atv or hiking it. I must have walked a mile and still didn’t scratch the surface of this place .

This site was awesome. Super rustic and secluded. We had a large group and it was great to not need to worry about bothering anyone or being bothered. Great spot to get out into nature without being too far from town if you need anything. Would definitely camp here again.

Rad Walk-In Campsite Near NYC
I asked my husband to describe this campsite in one word: “rad!” was his enthusiastic response. We have visited many Hipcamps over the years and really enjoyed our stay at Jenny Jump. Ig is just over 1 hour from NYC but feels secluded, private, and filled with nature. The campsite itself is approx. 1/4 mile walk in with some hills but the walk is well worth it.
