We are located near Rocky Mountain National Park which typically provides the best opportunities to view the Rut, as well as other areas near the Park. During the Fall we provide "Little Buddy" propane heaters for the Gypsy Wagons and the Frontier Tent to help you warm up during cold evenings. The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, library with free wifi, and quaint shops*. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting! Bliss Camp Glamping in Shimza
We had a wonderful glamping weekend at Bliss Camp. The two gypsy cabins are perfect for two couples or a family, especially with the shared fire pit, cooking/shower facilities, and outdoor games. Together, they created a quiet, private oasis, a perfect base for mountain adventures. Dot and Byron were excellent hosts, and I highly recommend their property.

Great place to camp!
Dot and Byron were lovely hosts! Their property is right in the mountains and has lots of seating to take in the scenery and even some trails to explore! Being less than a 30 minute drive from Rocky Mountain Park gave us the chance to go for a day hike and journey back to the site all before night fall! There is an outhouse on the property that was well maintained and stocked with the essentials. In the morning as we were having some camper troubles Byron came out and gave us a hand as well as some wonderful sight seeing recommendations on the way to our next destination. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with a great view!

Bliss Canyon is perfectly named
We had an absolutely magical time shooting our Annu video at Bliss Canyon There's something truly special about the land there, from the stunning rock formations to the babbling waterfalls, and Dot and Byron were the perfect hosts-- attentive, professional, and so very helpful. It was beautiful to feel both the sacredness of the space and the mindfulness of those who tended to it-- and if I could leave an entire galaxy of stars in this review I would. Highly highly highly recommended.

Canyon Camp
Beautiful little sanctuary so close to civilization. I really admire Dot and Byron for wanting to share their little slice of paradise. If it were mine, I may not be so kind. Just like in life, it’s the little things that matter. My wife and I took notice of little paintings on rocks randomly scattered throughout the trails, lights in trees that glow at night and fences that block the sight of the road. They really have considered other people while designing this place and it shows. Thanks for having us, can’t wait to join again.

Bliss Camp Glamping in Shimza
This campsite is one of a kind! There’s rock formations, waterfalls, a stream, and hiking trails. And the amenities made the experience so much easier. We came from out of town with two kids and having a kitchen, cooking supplies and a fireplace made the whole thing easy. To top it off the site is run by two of the most helpful hosts I’ve ever met. We can’t thank Dot and Byron enough for their hospitality. It was great to get to know them as we explored the parks and hiking trails in the area. We can’t wait to visit again.

Nice weekend retreat
Had a few new toys to try out on my camper van… Dot and Byron‘s place was perfect. Site is close to Lyons, next to a small waterfall, stream and pond. Great little hiking trail accessible from camp. Very well kept and they were great hosts. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway.
