Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
As you enter into our little oasis, you'll see why we want to share the space. It is a great environment to get away from the city or pass through on your road trip. The driveway enters down to our creek-side camping where a hammock under a tree awaits a quiet reader or a bird watcher. We have multiple species of song birds. It's just a 30 minute drive to the beach, or mountains, a short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with a playground, or a five minute drive to a local ecological reserve containing multiple trails. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. In addition, we have a propane-powered fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with full amenities, including, hot water, a two burner stove, a toaster oven and a BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the worlds largest honey producer. Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Creekside Campsite
Laura was amazing, the campsite itself was really cool! She recommended a really great hiking trail and was so attentive to us. Overall 10/10 campsite and 10/10 would recommend

Waterfall Campsite
Everything was great! This was our first time camping with elementary school aged kids and it was a gentle start to see how everyone did. We arrived in the dark so the frogs were deafening at first but after a while they faded into the background. After not camping for many years, you forget how cold 50 degrees can be overnight so if it's your first time pack extra blankets and layers for sleeping. It was nice to have access to a flushing toilet and shower, and running water and the fridge in the kitchen. Laura was helpful with providing suggestions for things to do as a family and we had a great little day trip and saw some beautiful terrain we wouldn't have otherwise stumbled across. It was a perfect weekend getaway for novice campers.

Waterfall Campsite
Affordable camping in California
Laura, our hostess, was super responsive, very fast and detailed. I really appreciated this as communication makes for a much better experience. The little creek is very pleasant and adds to a lovely sound. There are tons of frogs croaking at night, but they have to sleep too so they didn’t keep us awake at all. :-) The bathroom (shower, basin & toilet), perhaps 50 yards from the camp area is nice and will be finished soon I imagine. However it needs a thorough cleaning. Didn’t look like the basin had been cleaned in a long time (a little Barkeepers Friend will make it like new); and the shower floor needed a wash down too. Some might say the area is not that great, but if you want an affordable camping experience in California, this might be for you.

I would return again
It was very pleasant to car-camp near the waterfall, and the outdoor kitchen with small refrigerator and indoor shower and toilet were nice pluses. Laura was very welcoming.
