Jug Handle Creek Farm and Nature Center is a nonprofit with a five minute walk to Jug Handle State Reserve, Jug Handle beach and the Ecological Staircase trail. We offer 11 unique campsites with plenty of space and privacy. Each site has two picnic tables, a fire ring, parking for two cars and plenty of space for your tents. We also offer three lovely cabins, which have power and access to a shared kitchen and bathroom with a hot shower. Our 33 acres include a native plant nursery, community gardens, forests, meadows, and nature trails. Our site has lots of nature trails, is peaceful and beautiful and just a 5-minute walk to Jug Handle Beach and the Jug Handle Preserve. Our Mission: We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all backgrounds to explore nature and connect with the natural word. Nature stewardship is central to our non-profit mission and as an organization we are engaged in many nature restoration projects throughout Mendocino County. We also provide a supportive learning environment for nature education for disadvantaged youth during the school year. #9 - Walk into Forest

We’ve stayed at Jug Handle multiple times and always enjoy our stay. This was our first time staying at site 9. It felt nice and private!

#9 - Walk into Forest

gorgeous stay w wonderful staff! i stayed at campsite #9 and had a wonderful experience! the site had it’s own fire ring and was a short (and beautiful) walk to the beach. the onsite firewood purchasing was incredibly convenient. the location being right off Hwy 1 was also very nice! highly recommend!

#4 - Big Meadow, Power & Water

We camped in a travel trailer on a lovely site that was marred a bit by ongoing construction. We were grateful to have water and electricity, but wished the port-a-johns were emptied more frequently. It's a pleasant spot located between Mendocino and Ft. Bragg.

#2 - Sunny Spot in Meadow

Camping spot was great! They have wood for sale for $10 which is nice, however the box is locked and in order to reach them you have to call or text but there’s no signal unless you go to Fort Bragg. Bathrooms are only accessible to those who rent a cabin only, port a potties are the only option at this moment. Additionally somewhere to throw trash would be nice, we had to take ours in the car. Other than that the campsite was great! Had running water next to our site and a campfire ring and picnic tables. Definitely recommend if the above do not bother you!

#1 - Shady & Big

Nice but too expensive

There was some construction on one of the buildings on the property, it was kind of annoying. You can also hear the highway from this site. Besides that the sites and trails are nice. However, It is definitely too expensive.

#6 - Nice Big Spot

I loved the spot #6. It had a little shade, the bathroom was right next to it. 15min hike tot he beach. I recommend!
