A Place to Stay
Great for young family
We are two parents and two children 10 and 1.5.
We loved staying here with our young family. Having the sink/kitchen makes it possible to simplify packing so we didn’t need to bring as much, although we did still bring our stove.
The directions were helpful and clear. There is a raccoon that steals any food you leave out, so be wary of that.
Hope to come back!

A Place to Camp
It was a really nice camp site gave the rustic feel and it was amazing to wake up with the creek and the birds chirping. Got some fresh eggs too! David was a great host and would definitely plan to come back.

A Place to Stay
Junkyard was overbooked
This place is a junkyard in an amazing location next to the creek. Unfortunately the nice spots to camp were taken and the only available space was too small. Ended up having to sleep on the beach, but it was still better than camping next to a junkyard.

Best Big Sur Weekend
Such an amazing experience staying on Genes Land this past weekend. There is an outdoor kitchen fully stocked with mugs and pans so you don’t need to worry about that. There’s also a bathroom (very rustic but does the job). It’s right next to a beautiful beach and flowing river. There’s a redwood forest about 15 minutes south too. All & all an AMAZING place to stay.

A Place to Stay
I absolutely loved staying here!!! I spent my 20th birthday here in the rain and it was so unbelievably cozy and beautiful. the kitchen is so wonderful and it was so nice to make dinner and breakfast in this beautiful little area. The creek is beautiful and the hills are lush with trees and plants. Could not be happier with my stay here.
